The RBC Koln 99ers starts confidently in the EuroLeague 1Vorrunde in Nottwil.

The Domstädter won in the first match of the preliminary round against Beit-Halochem Haifa with 66:39.

The 99ers were unsure in the first quarter and were consistent with 16: 5 back. Through a tactical transition, the 99ers fought in the second quarter into the game and won this with 25: 5. Of the 25 points, 20 went to the account of Gijs Evens.

In the second half, the 99ers continued to show a strong defense. The team from Israel could not withstand the constant pressure of the Cologne and lost in the end with 39:66.

Head coach Mathew Foden took advantage of the lead in the second half and changed a lot to test different lineups for the rest of the tournament.

Momentum stuck with Koln in the second helped to keep the defensive pressure and went on to win the game by 27 points, 66-39.

Coach Mathew Foden shot his bench in both the third and fourth quarter to try various line-ups and tactics.
